Person Centred Therapy emphasises the importance of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard on the part of the therapist and the notion that the client is ‘in the driver’s seat’ when it comes to the direction of the therapy process.
At the core of the Person-Centred Approach is the belief that it is not the therapist or counsellor but the client, who is the expert on themselves and their experiences.
